CAVILUX Smart illumination laser provides extremely short pulses with very high power. The shortest pulse that is possible with the full power is 30 s. However with reduced power a pulse length of 10 ns is possible. Such short pulse lengths are ideal to study high speed phenomena such as shock waves, ballistics and also for visualizing small particles under a microscope e.g. ink jet droplets or sprays.

CAVILUX Smart can be also used for thermal light emitting processes like welding and explosions when the desired frame rates are about 1000 fps. CAVILUX Smart is very compact and robust and can be used in the lab as well as in rough industrial conditions. The fiber guides enable the use of the light in tight spaces.

Target applications include:

  • Shock-waves
  • Flows of particles, droplets, sprays
  • Welding and coating
  • Ballistics
  • Explosions
  • 200 W and 400 W @ 640nm
  • 500 W @ 810 nm
  • Shortest pulse 30 ns (full power)
  • DC 2% (for max 10 s)
  • -E.g. 10,000 fps @ 1 us
  • DC 0,03% (continuous)
  • -E.g. 300 Hz @ 1 us
  • Frequency and pulses freely adjustable
  • Generation of single pulses
  • Generation of pulse patterns (max 5 pulses)
  • Monochromatic
  • No speckle
  • Fiber guided
  • Ability to control up to 4 cameras and lasers
  • Stand alone operation
200 W and 400 W @ 640nm
